To Summer….

One of the most beautiful mountain cities, Kalaw will welcome you with peace and pleasure whenever you travel. In the summer, it can be cool with blooming flowers and fresh air, in the rainy season, it will serve you with greenish surroundings and make you refresh from all the stress, meanwhile in winter, it can also be its most beautiful self with foggy mornings. That is why I chose to travel to Kalaw this winter.

There are many places to wander around in Kalaw. You wouldn’t believe it, Summer…Kalaw will embrace you with its beautiful places such as sublime pagodas, caves, naturally occurring wonders, popular Kalaw station, the distinct clock tower in the middle of town, fascinatingly tall pine trees, high-way roads, the colorful fields, lovely coffee shops, and hotels. It would be my honor to take you there, Summer. I will make sure you get some good photographs too.

I’ve been to Kalaw so many times before. There were no famous places that I haven’t been there at all. I’ve tried trekking around the mountains and forests and also stayed in a rural village for the night. I’ve tried most of the things so I decided to travel across Kalaw’s mountains with motorbikes to get a taste of how it feels like to go on an arduous journey.

There are many trekking services and tour guides in Kalaw. You can completely trust everyone since they are always willing to help you with their genuineness. I am sure there is nothing to worry about, Summer, you will have a great time there. For my arduous journey, I had a contact with Ride Behind Kalaw group. As I like to be adventurous, I feel like I was harmonizing with this kind of trip. Try to take an adventurous trip once in your life, I am sure it will worth it.

I left Yangon by bus around midnight and they came to pick me up when I reached Kalaw in the morning. I took a rest at their office for a while, clean myself and had breakfast. I had a motorcycle suit that they provide. I have never tried wearing that before so it was kind of making me look smaller than I really am. The helmet was also very heavy. I didn’t quite expect that. But who knows what could happen right? Safety always comes first! I was quite impressed by the way they took care of their customers with full equipment.
